2, 3 or 4 microphones: sizing a karaoke set to your family

The cube is the same in every set. The question is how many people will be reaching for a microphone.

Two: the duet

Two microphones mean a sibling or parent can join from the first song. For one or two children this is the natural fit, and it comes in the widest choice of colors.

Three: the playdate

A third microphone solves the visitor problem. Three singers share one chorus, and each microphone has its own controls.

Four: the family band

The lavender quartet gives two kids and two adults a mic each. It is also the set for birthday parties, where sharing is harder.

What does not change

Voice effects, lights, battery life and Bluetooth work the same whatever the count. A bigger set only adds microphones.
